We were really on a holiday in Bavaria, a town called Berchtesgaden which is a few kilometers from the Austrian border, I always wanted to see the Grossglockner pass, so drove down to see it, a 50 kilometer stretch of road that costs 32€ for each and every car that wants to pass. afterwards we visited Salsburg too for a couple of hours.
The Grossglockner pass is a sepentine road that takes you upto 2590 meters high, the summit of Grossglockner itself stands at 3718 meters, pictured below. It is one of tougher climbs amongst the Alps. As beautiful as the road and the view were, they didnt quite have the umf that the Stelvio Pass in Italy had.
